London House Butchery in Whitland, Carmarthenshire celebrated 30 years in business on Saturday 3rd August. Founded in 1989, the traditional and artisan butchers held a celebratory event at their premises engaging with customers with tastings of drink and food. The company also held a raffle and collection for Prostate Cymru, their nominated charity for the event. Chairman of the Carmarthenshire Friends of Prostate Cymru Deryc Rees attended the event which raised £336.47 for the charity.
The business, owned and run by Colin and April Harris, are traditional and artisan butchers specialising in local produce. The company are suppliers of beef, lamb, pork, poultry and game. The premises also includes a delicatessen, charcuteries, wine and a range of spirits including gin which is extremely popular at the moment.
