There are less than 40 days until the Five Valleys Sportive and we are thrilled to announce that former rugby players, Gwyn Evans, Dafydd James and Gareth Cooper are getting involved.
All three, who have played for clubs including Llanelli Scarlets, Newport Gwent Dragons and Maesteg RFC, will be riding alongside cyclists for the Five Valleys Sportive this autumn.
The Five Valleys Sportive is held annually in aid of Prostate Cymru; a challenging and exciting event that aims to raise awareness and support men in Wales with prostate cancer.
Last year we had 350 individuals sign up and this year we are hoping to better that number with 500 participants. All individuals are welcome to take part in the cycle, whether they are part of a club or just keen cyclists, and have the option of cycling by themselves or in a group. With two different routes there is something to suit everyone. The long route covers a distance of 72 miles, whereas the shorter route covers 54 miles.
