How can I walk?
You can complete the walk at your pace – whether you challenge yourself to walk the miles in one day or gradually throughout the month. Walk the pavements or footpaths, use a treadmill or do a route you are familiar with, the choice is yours.
When should I walk?
You can walk anytime or anyway throughout the month of July. If you are walking at night please make sure you wear reflective clothing and that you have planned your route.
Who can take part?
The Big Walk is a challenge for walkers everywhere of all abilities.
Can we take part as a team?
If you’re a sports club, social club, local business, group of friends or family members you can set up a team for The Big Walk event. All you need to do is select the team option on when signing up and it will guide you through the process of creating a team or joining an existing team.
What is the best way to track my walking?
The Big Walk is all about helping your mental and physical health while having fun. Our Enthuse system allows you to connect your fundraising page to your Enthuse account so you can share your walking progress publicly.
How can I fundraise for The Big Walk?
When you have decided to sign up to walking 26 miles this July we’ll send you top tips to make sure we can help you every step of the way.
How much does it cost to sign up?
There is a £10 registration fee. As for fundraising we ask that you raise as much as you can. All walkers that raise £50 or more in sponsorship monies will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a medal.
I want to wear a Prostate Cymru t-shirt when walking this July, where can I get one?
You can purchase Prostate Cymru merchandise by visiting our online shop.
How can I see what other walkers are doing?
We’ll be posting / re-sharing your progress on all of our social media channels. If you visit the Enthuse landing page you will also be able to see your fellow walkers progress on the leaderboard.
Is The Big Walk dog friendly?
Yes, we encourage you to take your dogs out with you on your walking journey!
Is there a theme for this year’s Big Walk event?
We want it to be fun so as usual have set a theme, this year is “Go Blue For The Boys” – we are so excited to see your photos and videos on social media spreading awareness and showing your support across Wales.
Don’t forget to post your #SaveTheMalesInWales selfies on social media – we can’t wait to see how you get on.
Can we encourage anyone else to take part?

How can I connect my Strava account to my Enthuse page?
If you want your miles to automatically show on your Enthuse page, you can connect your Strava account to your fundraising page. There’s full instruction here.
If I self donate will this help me reach my fundraising target?
Why not donate to your own page? Fundraisers who do this raise on average 42% more! Don’t worry it’s not cheating, it’s the best way to reach your fundraising target and can help encourage your friends and family to follow.
