Loteri Cymru has opened up a search for a new charity to support during 2021 through its People’s Choice campaign and we are delighted to say that Prostate Cymru has been shortlisted.
Now we need your votes in order to crown Prostate Cymru the winner!
Prostate Cymru is Wales’ leading prostate health charity, supporting men in Wales with benign prostate disease & prostate cancer.
The last year has been incredibly tough on the charity sector. Prostate Cymru has no national or government funding and relies on the kindness and generosity of its fundraisers and volunteers to fulfil its core aims, so we really hope you’ll get behind the campaign so that we can benefit from some much-needed financial support.
Should Prostate Cymru win, we will join Loteri Cymru’s current partners LATCH – the Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity, Welsh Hearts, Youth Cymru and North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR), who collectively received close to £40,000 of donations in 2020 alone.

Through its People’s Choice campaign, the all-Wales lottery, which was created to raise vital funds to support local charities, has given the people of Wales the power to choose its new charity partner who will receive an up-front donation of £5,000 together with ongoing financial support.
This is thanks to lottery players, who for £1 a week help raise vital funds for charities in Wales, as well as try their luck at scooping the £25,000 weekly jackpot cash prize.
To be in with the chance of making its line-up, charities were asked to submit a short video detailing why the people of Wales should vote for them to receive the support.
Our video is available to view here where you will also be able to cast your vote!
Remember absolutely anyone and everyone is free to vote – so don’t forget to tell your colleagues, friends and supporters of Prostate Cymru to spread the word by posting the link to vote on their social media channels and encourage everyone involved to vote!
You have until 21st February to cast your vote so get voting! Thank you for helping us #savethemalesinwales today.
