A team of ten participants took part in the third annual Taffy’s Taff Trail Trudge for Prostate Cymru on Friday 28th August. The team set off following a breakfast at The Royal Exchange, Llandaff North. From Brecon, the trudgers battled with the poor weather to walk the Taff Trail to Cardiff via a few challenging mountain climbs – Corn Du, Pen Y Fan, Cribyn and Fan Y Big.
The worst of the weather the team had to fight was during their ascent of Pen Y Fan where they had to climb the peak whilst battling wind, rain and hail! Luckily, the team managed to complete the trek in an impressive 22.45 hours with the exception of event organiser Paul Phillips who reluctantly pulled out of the walk at the 34 mile mark due to an injury.
Most of the trudgers are collecting sponsorship via paper forms. However, Paul and Sean have JustGiving pages which you can find at the following link if you would like to make a contribution: https://www.justgiving.com/teams/tafftrudge2015
