Over 100 people took part in the Magor and Undy family bike ride organised by Newport Uskmouth Rotary and Satellite Club on Saturday 24th June. The event, which is the third consecutive annual cycling event held by the club, raised funds for Prostate Cymru and Ty Hafan, the leading paediatric palliative care charity in Wales.
Following a few words from representatives of both charities, the cyclists set off from The Square in Magor at approximately 2:30pm. Participants completed either a five mile or eighteen mile route through the Gwent Levels. The cyclists were then treated to a free barbecue at The Golden Lion in Magor Square. The family friendly day also included face painting, activities, a raffle and live music from local singer and multi-instrumentalist Adam Gold.
