Airbus Broughton, in North Wales, organised a charity golf day in aid of Prostate Cymru. Following a number of awareness sessions delivered by Prostate Cymru’s Head of Awareness Dai John at Airbus, staff chose to support the charity at a golf day held on 16th September at Upton Golf Course near Chester. An enjoyable day was had by all participants and their enthusiasm helped raise an incredible £2014.50 for Prostate Cymru.
Broughton in Flintshire has been a hub of manufacturing for the aerospace industry for three quarters of a century. At present, the Airbus site in Broughton assembles wings for the entire family of Airbus commercial aircraft with tasks including wing skin milling, stringer manufacture, full wing equipping and wing box assembly.
