Prostate Cymru has created a first of a kind partnership with the online arm of farm-to-fork project St Davids Kitchen and the broader St Davids Peninsula Group. St Davids Peninsula Group owns and operates a number of brands including the St Davids Kitchen restaurant, St Davids Welsh Black Beef, St Davids Seafoods and ethical online marketplace www.stdavids.wales. The group’s mission is to create local jobs and generate revenue for Welsh producers as well as funding social and charitable initiatives through the St Davids Foundation.
The partnership will see Prostate Cymru receive 10% of all sales created by its supporters on St Davids Kitchen online brand www.welshblackbeef.wales. Supporters of the charity simply need to enter the code PROSTATE10 on the site to ensure a percentage of their purchase goes directly to funding the charity.
St Davids Peninsula Group founder Neil Walsh said: “While we’ve supported Prostate Cymru with events at our restaurant for the past couple of years, this online partnership is a first for the St Davids Peninsula Group. We’re delighted to be donating a percentage of all sales from our online brands to help #savethemalesinwales as part of our Farm-to-Fundraising initiative in 2018 and beyond.”
Tina Tew, Chief Executive of Prostate Cymru, said: “We are excited that St Davids Kitchen have chosen to support Prostate Cymru through this innovative online initiative and are raising awareness amongst their customers about prostate diseases including benign prostate disease and prostate cancer.”
