A film music themed concert held at Follies Theatre, Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire on 24th March has raised £3000 for Prostate Cymru. ‘A Night At The Movies’ transported the audience to the world of the silver screen in aid of Prostate Cymru and Rotary charitable causes.
The concert, organised by Pembroke Rotary Club, featured the renowned Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra performing many works by the celebrated film composer John Williams. The famous American composer, conductor and pianist has written the scores of over one hundred films in addition to television and Olympic themes. The packed programme included themes from Star Wars, Saving Private Ryan, The Cowboys, Jurassic Park and E.T.
On Thursday 31st May Simon Moffett, representing Prostate Cymru, accepted the proceeds of the concert at a special cheque presentation with Pembroke Rotary Club. The cheque was presented by Ken Chung (President) and Robert McLaren (Incoming President).
