The team braved the wet and windy weather to attend the Aberystwyth and Ceredigion County Show on Saturday 8th June as part of the charity’s summer roadshow. The roadshow involves attending community events and shows across Wales to raise awareness of prostate issues such as benign prostate disease and prostate cancer.
The Aberystwyth and Ceredigion County Show is an annual agricultural show which attracts many visitors from the surrounding areas, uniting the farming industry and local community.
Marketing and Corporate Events Executive Owen Pugsley plus volunteers Simon Moffett and Amy Griffiths attended the show in Aberystwyth. There were also special appearances from the charity’s mascot Wesley The Walnut and Simon’s classic car Jemima who was the star of a fundraising challenge for Prostate Cymru in 2016.
Attendees of the Ceredigion based show chatted to the team about the charity’s work and learned about prostate health. Younger attendees had meeting Wesley the Walnut and engaging in some fun games and activities. The charity would like to thank everyone who took an awareness leaflet, made a donation or stopped to have a chat.
