The second annual Trons Dy Dad event took place in Caernarfon on Saturday 31st August for Prostate Cymru, the leading prostate health charity in Wales supporting men with benign prostate disease and prostate cancer. The charity’s Chief Executive Tina Tew and Corporate Events & Marketing Executive Owen Pugsley attended the fun filled day.
Despite miserable weather in the morning, the day brightened up in time for all the activities planned by the hardworking Trons Dy Dad committee who organised the event. The brilliant day included a sponsored walk featuring thirty walkers who donned their best underpants and superhero costumes for the walk from the Maes to the iconic, historic thirteenth century castle and along the coast, walking the Aberforeshore and back.
A number of tractors travelled from as far as Porthmadog in support of the event, showing the support from the region as well as several local businesses in Caernarfon. They joined the activities on the main square which included stilt walkers, exotic animals, children’s entertainers and live music. Hit Welsh bands and singers including Maffia Mr Huws, Synnwyr Cyffredin, Geraint LovGreen and Gwibdaith Hen Fran entertained the town from 1pm to 7pm.
