Over Christmas and New Year, a local town came together to raise a staggering £1000 for Prostate Cymru, that was further matched by David Brace (OBE) resulting in a fantastic £2000 being raised.
In Maesteg on New Year’s Eve, The Mari Lwyd Party collected a grand total of £518 as they stopped at different watering holes and enjoyed the ancient custom of Wales, The Mari Lwyd, and they decided to graciously choose us as their chosen charity.
These funds were then furthered by The Maesteg Gleeman MVC who donated £443, raised from their local events throughout the Christmas period, making their grand total £961.
After hearing about the amazing work and dedication of the Mari Lwyd Party and The Maesteg Gleemen MVC over the festive period, David Brace (OBE) of Dunraven Windows matched their fundraising for Prostate Cymru resulting in a staggering £2000 being raised.
We couldn’t be more thrilled and honoured to be the Chosen Charity for these fantastic fundraising events.
With the money they have raised we will be able to continue to raise awareness, improve medical equipment and fund even more research across Wales to ensure that Welsh men suffering from prostate disease have the best treatment available from the NHS.
If you would like to fundraise like The Mari Lwyd Party, The Maesteg Gleemen MVC and David Brace then please don’t hesitate to contact us, any donation big or small has a massive impact on our fundraising and we appreciate anyone taking time out of their day to help fundraise for Prostate Cymru.
