A group of 18 took part in a 20 mile walk on Saturday 14th September to raise money for charity. Walking 20 miles in seven hours is a challenge in itself but the group took it further, walking in the night being guided by the moonlight.
The team, the Vale of Clwyd fundraising committee for the Royal Welsh Show, took on the 20.20 mile moonwalk for Prostate Cymru, the leading prostate health charity in Wales and Clwyd 2020, the feature county for next year’s Royal Welsh Show.
Starting at 11pm from Wern Vets in Ruthin, the group trekked to Llanbedr and Llandyrnog, on to Llanrhaeadr and up past the old Bryn Morfydd. The team moved on to Saron, across to Cyffylliog, down through Bontuchel and returned to Ruthin at 5:45am. The walkers stopped for refreshments at the five, ten and fifteen mile points and would like to thank all who provided food, drinks and support throughout the route.
