Prostate Cymru’s annual golf day, the Ray Murray Golf Challenge, took place on Friday 26th May at Machynys Peninsula Golf Club in Llanelli. The golf day is one of the charity’s key events in their annual calendar and is supported by a number of individuals and businesses from across Wales.
On arrival golfers were invited to take part in a number of small fundraising activities such as guessing the number of tees in the jar. Following an hour on the driving range and a coffee and bacon roll, the teams took to the course to start the competition with a shotgun start. Golfers enjoyed eighteen holes of golf in the brilliant sunshine. Prizes were presented to teams and individuals in the evening after a delicious two-course meal.
Prostate Cymru’s team of Andy Thomas, John Devereux, Warren Davies and Jaco Van Der Merwe were the winning team with The Bogeymen Golf Society and Tathan Saints taking second and third place respectively.
