Prostate Cymru received a donation of £750 at a special presentation evening on Saturday 22nd October. The sum was raised at the 31st annual Camrose Vintage Working Day in August. The annual agricultural event raised £12,000 in total and sixteen charities including Prostate Cymru were chosen as the recipients of their fundraising. Preseli Pembrokeshire MP Stephen Crabb presented the charities with their donations at the presentation evening in Camrose.
The Camrose Vintage Working Day is an event which provides an insight into the farming and agricultural practices of the past. The event aims to maintain, nurture and develop an interest in agricultural history, the heritage of the countryside and the way of life of previous generations of local farmers.
Displays of vintage tractors, classic cars and motorcycles are a common sight at the event. The Vintage Working Day also features demonstrations of corn cutting, hay baling, ploughing, sheep shearing, folk dancing and falconry.
