A team of 41 runners took part in the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 7th October for Prostate Cymru. The team raised an incredible £13684.86 for the charity by fundraising online, at work and in their communities.
Many runners were taking part to show support for family members, friends and members of their local communities who have experienced prostate issues such as benign prostate disease and prostate cancer. Some runners ran simply to challenge themselves and show their appreciation for the charity’s work. Our brilliant team completed the race in impressive times ranging from one hour, forty minutes and forty two seconds to three hours, sixteen minutes and forty one seconds.
Cardiff Half Marathon is the second largest road race in the UK after the Great North Run. The popular annual 13.1 mile predominantly flat route takes runners past the capital’s most iconic landmarks with historic buildings and beautiful scenery including Cardiff Bay and Roath Park.
