Prostate Cymru, the leading prostate health charity in Wales, is delighted to be a nominated charity for the green token scheme in three ASDA stores in South East Wales. Customers will be able to donate their tokens to Prostate Cymru in Blackwood, Newport and Newport Pillgwenlly during the last quarter of the year (October to December). As one of the nominated charities, Prostate Cymru will receive £400 per store but if the charity is the most successful in the scheme across the three stores it could receive up to £3000.
Each year ASDA invests over £1.4 million in over 4000 good causes through their Green Token Giving programme, helping organisations and charities in stores’ local communities. The scheme is accessible and easy for customers to get involved with. Customers can visit their local ASDA store, collect their tokens from the cashier at the checkout and vote by placing green tokens into their chosen charity’s slot as they exit the store. The programme runs every three months. Voting for this quarter closes at the end of December.
