Tenby Golf Club’s Senior Section held their annual general meeting on Tuesday 1st October. At the meeting, outgoing Captain Derek Cole presented a cheque for £760 to Prostate Cymru. The cheque was graciously received by awareness volunteer and treasurer of the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru group Simon Moffett who delivered a brief talk about prostate issues and encouraged members to be responsible for their health and wellbeing including their prostate health.
Tenby Golf Club, widely regarded as the birthplace of Welsh golf, was established in 1888. Set among a patchwork of rolling green terrain and wild dunes, the club boasts a classic eighteen hole links course and a variety of challenges to test golfers at every level.
At the A.G.M. the Senior Section reflected on an enjoyable and successful year. The section grew in size with the enrolment of nine new members and have competed on their home turf as well as at competitions in Glynhir, Morlais Castle, the Gower and Cardiff.
