Dylan Huws is taking on the incredible challenge of completing the Pen-Llyn Ultra Marathon course this month in memory of his father, John Arfon Huws.
The Official Pen-Llyn Ultra Marathon has sadly been postponed until 2021 however, Dylan intends to still be running the 37 mile course this November.
Speaking about the challenge Dylan said, “Ten years have passed since I lost my father, John Arfon Huws to prostate cancer. We as a family lost a much-loved father, husband, grandfather and father-in-law. His roots were firmly in Pen-Llyn and throughout his life he worked for it’s people and culture. Pen-Llyn was his life and inspiration.”
“I also know of many others who have suffered with prostate cancer and my intention is to run the coast and paths of Pen-Llyn to raise awareness and funds”.
So far, Dylan has raised an incredible £1,500 on his JustGiving page.

The charity sector has been hit hard by recent events and as a result we have lost a significant amount of fundraising this year due to lockdown restrictions and social distancing measures and we aren’t through this yet.
People like Dylan taking on challenges like the Pen-Llyn Ultra Marathon are a massive help, and we are so grateful for their fundraising as it helps us raise the funds needed to fulfil our core aims of raising awareness, supporting treatments, and improving equipment for prostate diseases.
