The Cardiff office of international law firm Eversheds has chosen Prostate Cymru as one of its charity partners for 2016-2017 along with Bobath Wales, a children’s cerebral palsy charity.
Prostate Cymru’s Head of Awareness Dai John and Rosalyn Neale visited Eversheds in Cardiff on Thursday 21st April to provide a workplace awareness session, raising awareness of benign prostate disease, prostate cancer and general health and wellbeing. Prostate Cymru offers awareness sessions to workplaces, social, rotary and sports clubs free of charge to educate men about their prostate health and risk. Despite the prostate being a men’s health issue, women are also encouraged to attend awareness talks to understand the impact of prostate diseases on their male family and friends.
The duo representing Prostate Cymru also informed Eversheds staff of the charity’s work and the fundraising that is integral for the charity to support men in Wales. As a charity partner Eversheds will support Prostate Cymru by organising fundraising events such as dress down days and quizzes in addition to volunteering opportunities within the charity and getting involved with Prostate Cymru’s sporting events such as The Big Walk, The Five Valleys and our Cardiff Half Marathon team. Prostate Cymru is looking forward to working closely with the Eversheds Cardiff office over the next year.
