The proceeds of Haverfordwest Ladies Choir concert ‘Music for Autumn’ were recently presented to members of Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru. Judith Griffiths accepted the cheque on behalf of the group and Brian Harries, Chairman, thanked the choir for supporting the local branch of the charity, which has now raised around £200,000 since its inception four years ago . Thanks to the generosity of people in the county men of Pembrokeshire are benefitting from state of the art treatment in the field of Urology.
The Autumn concert was held in November 2017 in Albany Chapel, Haverfordwest. Bill Carne very kindly gave of his precious time to compère the evening, which was led by the talented Nancy Mann, Musical Director of the choir. The concert, also featuring the very entertaining Cwm Cerwyn Quartet, was of a very high standard and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The accompanist for the evening was Gerald Nicholas. Refreshments for the choir members were served afterwards with the kind help of Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru, Derek Griffiths, Pat Evans, Richard Pugh & Grace Pugh.
