Hogarths Swansea presented the proceeds of two fundraising events to Prostate Cymru on Tuesday 11th April. The grand total of £1712 was presented to Kevin Grant, representing Prostate Cymru. Hogarths is a popular establishment based in St Mary’s Street, Swansea which specialises in gin based beverages.
The first fundraising event ‘An Evening of Glitz and Glam’ took place on New Year’s Eve. The party featured performances from The Flaming Feathers, a vintage dance troupe specialising in Burlesque, Can-Can, Charleston and Fan dance styles.
The second event was a fundraising day was held on Saturday 4th March. Decorated with innovative boxer shorts bunting, the establishment showcased local brewers and distillers including Penderyn Distillery. A pop up art gallery was also housed on the premises, displaying work by local artist and illustrator Jeff Philips and watercolour artist Tony Paultyn. Entertainment was provided by Bronwen Lewis, a former contestant on The Voice UK, and the Tenovus Cancer Care Swansea Sing With Us Choir. Raffles and auctions ran throughout the day to raise further funds for the charity.
