Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club presented the proceeds of their Rotary Ride event to Prostate Cymru at a Friends of Rotary evening on Wednesday 26th October at Whitland Bowls Club. The cycling event organised by the club raised an impressive £1425. The cheque was accepted on behalf of Prostate Cymru by trustee John Daniels and Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru committee member Simon Moffett.
Narberth & Whitland Rotary Club’s Rotary Ride took place on Sunday 4th September. 108 cyclists took part in the event which started at the Bloomfield Community Centre in Narberth and finished at Cresswell Quay. There were three circuits for entrants with a choice of 10 miles, 27 miles or 50 miles for the keen enthusiasts.
The rotary club are continuing to support Prostate Cymru and have chosen the charity to be one of the beneficiaries of a grand charity concert. The concert featuring renowned Welsh tenors Rhys Meirion and Trystan Llyr Griffiths amongst other local talents will take place at the Follies Theatre based in Folly Farm on Saturday 12th November.
