On 5th July, Newport Wayfarers hosted the Annual Wayfarers Golf Society Charity Event in aid of Prostate Cymru, Latch Cymru and St Anne’s Hospice at Newport Golf Club. A brilliant 65 teams entered this popular golf day, helping to raise over £2000 for each charity.
The team from St Mellons Golf Club had the most success on the day winning the team competition with 110 points and Kristian Vas from St Mellons winning the individual competition. Edwin Williams (Newport), Ward Griffiths (Caerphilly) and Adrian David (Maesteg) won the nearest the pin competitions on the 6th, 14th and 16th holes respectively.
