£3300 has been split and donated to three charities thanks to NFU Cymru members in Ceredigion. Wales Air Ambulance, Prostate Cymru and RABI have each received a donation of £1,100.
On making the cheque presentations at the Ceredigion NFU Cymru annual conference, Wyn Evans NFU Cymru Ceredigion President said, “On Behalf of NFU Cymru Ceredigion I am privileged to be able to donate this money to three worthwhile charities. I would like to thank all those who attended the NFU Cymru Ceredigion charity dinner at the Marine Hotel, Aberystwyth. 130 people were present and enjoyed the wonderful food and humorous address by Aled Jones, the Deputy Chief Executive of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society and the superb entertainment by Aberystwyth based group Sgarmes.”
All three charities were extremely grateful of the donations.
Sarah Williams from Wales Air Ambulance said, “We are extremely grateful to NFU Cymru Ceredigion and its members for supporting the Wales Air Ambulance Charity. Many of the missions we attend each year are related to agriculture, and their kind donation will help us to raise the £6 million needed every year to keep our helicopters flying all over Wales.”
Dai John, Head of Awareness at Prostate Cymru said, “This donation is much appreciated and will be spent here in Wales for the benefit of Welsh patients. I would like to thank NFU Cymru Ceredigion for their kind donation, it will help to tackle Prostate Cancer which claims the lives of many men.”
Cheryl Bulman, Ceredigion R.A.B.I county Chairman said, “We would like to thank NFU Cymru in Ceredigion for their generosity and support. We’re extremely proud of the support we have given to farming families in Ceredigion over the years. We’ve helped them when they needed it most and that’s something we will continue to do. Your support not only enables us to raise funds, but it also raises awareness amongst new audiences.”
