A two course charity networking lunch was held at Wolfscastle Country Hotel on Tuesday 1st September as part of the Pembrokeshire 2 Paris team’s fundraising efforts. Fourteen cyclists including Prostate Cymru Chairman Andy Thomas will be cycling over 500 miles from Pembrokeshire to Paris from Sunday 6th September for Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru (Prostate Cymru), Pembrokeshire Autism Society and Pembrokeshire Riding for the Disabled.
The lunch was well attended by local businesses and helped raise over £6000 for the three charities that the team are fundraising for. Notable guests included Stephen Crabb MP (Secretary of State for Wales) and Paralympic Gold medal cyclist Mark Colbourne MBE. The Welsh cyclist Colbourne shared his inspirational story with guests at the event and helped give the team an olympic send off (Pictured: Colbourne with eight of the Pembs 2 Paris cyclists).
