Kevin and Hannah Jones are well known throughout the community of Haverfordwest as active and enthusiastic fundraisers who enjoy a fresh challenge every year.
This year they decided to take part in The Grand Depart Classic which is the first stage of the Tour de France a week before the professionals do it! They cycled from Noirmoutier-en-l’ile to Fontenay Le-Comte down the West coast of Brittany which was 120 miles in one day.
They did this to raise money and awareness of prostate cancer with the main event being a comedy night at the Wolfscastle Country Hotel in April this year together with donations from far and wide through JustGiving.
The fundraising realised a total of £6637 with £2637 for Prostate Cymru and £4000 being given to other prostate cancer charities.
Both are actively involved in the Haverfordwest Hornets Cycling Club with Kevin as the secretary and Hannah the welfare officer who leads the ladies rides.
