Prostate Cymru and local friendship group the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru attended the Pembrokeshire County Show on Tuesday 13th August to Thursday 15th August. The charity has a strong presence in the county and were delighted to be involved in the show again as part of the charity’s summer roadshow raising awareness of prostate issues across Wales.
The Pembrokeshire County Show is a highly regarded event with a long tradition. It has close connections to the local agricultural and rural community, and is a favourite day out in the summer calendar for thousands of people, both from Pembrokeshire and further afield.
Members of the charity and friendship group were joined over the three days by special guests including Fundraiser of the Yea Meurig Harries, nurse Sharon Arkless and mascot Wesley the Walnut. The team had several good conversations about prostate health and met up with local organisations such as Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club who are supporting the charity this September with their rotary ride ‘Il Giro Di Pembrokeshire’.
