On Sunday 3rd May, over 60 generous and hardy souls set out from the new Old Cross Hotel to walk all the way to The Farmers Arms in aid of the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru.
The memorial walk, which remembers members of the St David’s Penknife club and local community who are no longer with us, took the participants out of St David’s onto the ancient Ffos-y-mynach track to follow in the footsteps of the medieval pilgrims who washed their feet and bathed their wounds at Dwr Cleifion (Water of the Wounded). They continued walking from Rhos Gadw farm via the cathedral until they reached their destination: the welcoming Farmers Arms where all walkers enjoyed a well-earned meal!
This year’s walk has raised an amazing £1500 for the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru. Prostate Cymru would like to thank all the members of the St David’s Penknife Club for their continued support and the walkers and supporters of the memorial walk.
