The Pig Iron Tavern in Port Talbot has raised £475.40 for Prostate Cymru this year through a number of fundraising events. The funds were presented to Kevin Grant, representing Prostate Cymru, on Friday 28th July.
The popular establishment has been fundraising for the charity since it reopened in February this year following a refurbishment. The first fundraising event took place on St David’s Day with an ‘All Things Welsh’ Quiz. Teams of 5 entered the quiz and enjoyed traditional treats such as Welsh cakes and bara brith. All proceeds from the evening were donated to the charity. The second fundraising event was a carnival and circus themed evening. Staff and punters wore fancy dress and funds were raised through a raffle.
