In 2022, West Wales Nissan Dealer, PMS Cars, delivered a Nissan Micra to Prostate Cymru to help raise awareness of prostate cancer.
In partnership with Nissan and Mobad Solutions in Haverfordwest, John Green of PMS Cars provided Prostate Cymru with a unique bespoke wrapper.
The wrap features important stats about prostate cancer as well as the Nurses Hotline number, a free and confidential service that Prostate Cymru provides.
The distinctive car has served as a beacon of awareness for Prostate Cymru, accompanying the charity to events across Wales throughout the years.
John Green has been integral in raising awareness and funds for Prostate Cymru over the years, not just providing the awareness vehicle, but also running Cardiff Half Marathon for the charity multiple times over the years, resulting in winning ‘Fundraiser of the Year’ in 2021.
Speaking about the Nissan, Tina Tew, Chief Executive of Prostate Cymru, said, ‘We are incredibly grateful to John Green, PMS Cars, and Nissan for their support in providing us with an awareness vehicle for the past few years. We have travelled across Wales in the awareness car, taking it with us to roadshows, awareness presentations, and events, helping us fulfil one of our key aims of spreading the word about the dangers of prostate cancer. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in providing us with the awareness car these past few years.”
Currently, 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime and every 45 minutes a man in the UK dies of prostate cancer.
Prostate Cymru aims to help men by improving equipment, funding innovation and raising awareness, educating men about the dangers of prostate disease and cancer to help save as many lives as possible.
The charity doesn’t receive any government funding and relies on the generosity and kindness of fundraisers and volunteers.
We would like to say a massive thank you to PMS Cars and Nissan for the support we’ve received.
