The third annual President’s Ball was held at The Towers Hotel and Spa, Swansea on Saturday 29th October. The glamorous black tie event, organised by Prostate Cymru President David Brace OBE, was enjoyed by all who attended. Guests of honour included rugby legend Phil Bennett and current Welsh Caretaker Coach Rob Howley.
Guests were treated to a champagne reception, excellent cuisine and fine wines. Following the delicious meal, exciting raffle and auction, entertainment was provided by singer James Williams who was accompanied by the live band In The Groove, an ensemble formed of the most gifted and talented musicians in Europe.
The President’s raffle and auction hosted by Brian Harries, Chairman of the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru, proved to be a highlight of the evening with many brilliant prizes to bid on and raise money for Prostate Cymru. The list of auction prizes included a 50” Sony HD television, a week in Marbella and hospitality opportunities at Chepstow Racecourse and rugby internationals such as Wales vs England respectively. The amazing prizes didn’t stop following the auction as there were ten prizes to be won in the President’s raffle including an iPod shuffle, a day’s racing at Ffos Las Racecourse and a Christmas sweet hamper.
