Description

Stephen Whitehead has written the novel ‘Never Say Nethers’ about his own experience with prostate cancer to raise awareness about the disease.

In Steve’s words “Never Say Nethers Again is the book for : the man who has everything (including perhaps Prostate Cancer). It is the story of how fate focused my mind on the biological bits inside me and is intended as hilarious but insightful examination of, in the idiom of the book, the passage of my prostate. The prostratingly honest account of the pilgrimage of a would be James Bond through Prostate Cancer, the widespread interest in his ‘passage’, and some stories along the way.”

The entire cover price of Never Say Nethers Again is donated to Prostate Cymru so buying this book not only makes a valuable financial contribution to our work, but, reading it may save your life or that of a friend or partner.

Prostate Cymru would like to thank you Steve for his generous donation of this book, supporting our ongoing efforts in the fight against prostate cancer.

With 1 in 8 men in Wales being diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, and 1 in 3 with a family history, it’s so important to spread the word and raise awareness about the dangers of prostate cancer.

  1. James

A brave, I guess even stoic attempt to make light of the stress of any man going through Prostate cancer and a valuable insight on inbuilt prejudices in man that deters from his investigating any changes in bodily function
A weighty argument gave way to hilarious descriptions that had me laughing out loud

  2. James Ulyatt

A little slow to ‘get into stride’ but soon highly readable , stacked with brace humour in the face of what was clearly stress. A commendable effort to highlight the vital reason for men not to ignor changes in bodily function

  3. HUGH VAUGHAN SMITH (verified owner)

In Steve’s inimitable style – humorous but definitely informative for all you men out there, I can empathise, having been through those familiar mental and physical stages – fortunately coming out the other end with a clean MRI. This is a good read and a good buy in a worthy cause – I never knew old rugby hookers knew so many words!

  4. Dennis John

Bloody great book, arrived yesterday. Well dine

  5. Nigel Desebrock (verified owner)

Having prostate cancer myself, enduring radiotherapy and hormone treatment, I liked the author’s authentic description of his journey. I also enjoyed his self-deprecating humour. The book is well worth reading.
