Prostate Cymru are thrilled to announce that they are continuing their charity partnership with Cardiff Devils for the 2023/24 season.
Last year the partnership was a huge success with Brodie Reid and Josh Brittain supporting the charity, as well as the charity sponsorship match raising over £1700.
All adults who attended the game received a prostate health assessment, along with our Awareness Team video being shown throughout the intermissions, as well as important facts and statistics being promoted on the Devil’s social media.
This year we are thrilled to announce Josh Batch will be our Ambassador, helping us raise awareness about the dangers of prostate cancer.
The Prostate Cymru X Cardiff Devils match will be on the 21st of October against Manchester Storm.

As an audience of predominantly males, this is a particularly poignant partnership for the charity, with one of their key aims being to raise awareness and educate men in Wales on the dangers of prostate cancer.
Speaking about the partnership Owen Pugsley, said, “We can’t wait for another year of support from Cardiff Devils, including our match on the 21st October. Last year was fantastic for us, raising awareness to a whole new audience and being supported by not only the team but also their supporters.”
He continued, “It’s so important to spread the word about prostate cancer, with 1 in 5 men being diagnosed too late for a cure, and we look forward to continuing to raise awareness with Cardiff Devils.”
“We would like to say a huge thank you to Josh for being our Ambassador for the coming season, support like this is what helps us save the males in Wales.”
Katrina Williams, Operations Director at Cardiff Devils, said, “We are pleased to continue our partnership with Prostate Cymru, highlighting the great work that they do in raising awareness of prostate cancer and the support services provided. This partnership is important to our organisation, given that 53% of our fan base is male, along with our players. Together we’re working to break down the stigma around prostate examinations and the importance of regular screening.”
