Prostate Cymru’s Chairman Andy Thomas attended a meeting of the Services Lodge at Penarth Masonic Hall on 19th April to receive the funds raised by the masonic lodge from March 2017 to April 2018. Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations.
Led by Worshipful Master Wbro Shaun Trigg, the lodge raised money for the charity for his year in office through a number of events such as a charity BBQ party at Cottrell Park Golf Resort in St Nicholas and a ladies night held in November. The lodge also received a prostate health awareness session from Chairman Andy Thomas to learn more about prostate diseases and to kick start their year of fundraising in March 2017.
Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of the lodge’s brethren, Prostate Cymru was presented with the total of £2966.30. The charity and the lodge would also like to extend their thanks to Cartref Chapter 5772 and Bridgend Driving Instructors Association for their kind contributions to the brilliant fundraising total.
