The Tap It Out Cycle Group has once again shown its commitment to making a difference, this time by completing a challenging cycle route from Kenfig Hill to the Isle of Wight and back, all in support of Prostate Cymru.
The dedicated group, known for their impressive endurance, has now raised over £130,000 for the charity, marking over a decade of support through a series of long-distance cycling challenges.
Their latest adventure was no easy feat. Battling through harsh weather conditions that included icy winds and relentless rain, the cyclists pushed on through each stage of the journey.
Over the past ten years, Tap It Out has completed monumental rides, including cycles from Santander to Lisbon and Nice to Rome, but their latest journey from South Wales to the Isle of Wight remains a highlight of their dedication.
The journey culminated in a heartfelt celebration at Blancos Hotel in Bridgend, where the cyclists were warmly welcomed home, and their impressive fundraising efforts were celebrated.
Tina Tew, Chief Executive of Prostate Cymru, expressed her gratitude: “It’s incredible the support we’ve had from the Tap It Out cyclists over the years, and we are so grateful for all of the money they’ve raised. Fundraisers like this are why we are able to do what we do, and their hard work is invaluable.”
Prostate Cymru is the leading prostate health charity in Wales, supporting men with prostate disease and working to improve awareness, treatment, and research.
Fundraising efforts like those of the Tap It Out Cycle Group make it possible for the charity to continue its vital work.
