Touching the sun explorers ramp up the training efforts in -10c on Corn Ddu & Pen y Fan.
Here we find Andy Thomas (Blue) & Bob Norster (Red) trekking their way across Corn Ddu & Penyfan in bitter conditions to get ready for touching the sun, Ecuador.
Pen y Fan is the highest peak in South Wales and southern Britain, situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park. At 886 metres (2,907 ft) above sea-level, it is also the highest peak in Britain south of the Snowdonia mountain range. The twin summits of Pen y Fan and Corn Du were formerly referred to as Cadair Arthur or ‘Arthur’s Seat’.
Therefore, is the perfect venue for intensifying the training ready for a trip across five volcanoes in wildest Ecudaor!
So after 4.5 hours in -10 C with wind chill , ice and snow everywhere, poor footing conditions and 50 mph winds (Which blew Andy over twice!)… It’s fair to say the team are working hard for Prostate Cymru!
