As her father had undergone treatment for prostate cancer, Sarah Harries and her partner Simon Thornton, from Treffgarne Owen, took on the challenge of running the Cardiff Half Marathon in October and raised £550 for Prostate Cymru, the leading prostate health charity in Wales.
Sarah and Simon made the cheque presentation to the charity’s founder trustee Lyn Murray when she attended the Prostate Cymru Big Breakfast at Croesgoch Farm Stores in Croesgoch, Pembrokeshire. Also in the photograph are Sarah and Simon’s children Megan and Jack.
In receiving the cheque Lyn Murray said: “It is very special to meet supporters such as Sarah and Simon who raise money for the charity particularly when it is in support for one of their family”.
