On Wednesday 7th August the team from Prostate Cymru attended the Vale of Glamorgan Show at Fonmon Castle near Barry to raise awareness of prostate issues as part of the charity’s summer roadshow.
Hosted by Glamorgan Smallholders, the team which included trustee Lyn Murray, nurse Gaynor Newton, awareness volunteer Ian Norton and Community & Sports Officer Chris Leyshon spoke to several visitors about prostate health and the charity’s work.
Throughout the course of the day the team were visited by rugby player Scott Quinnell and politicians Jane Hutt AM and Alun Cairns MP who were very interested in the charity’s new prostate health assessment leaflets. The charity was also featured on local station Bro Radio, discussing the charity and its objective of raising awareness across Wales.
