The Vale Wayfarers held a charity golf day for Prostate Cymru and Latch, the Welsh children’s cancer charity, on Sunday 7th August. The day raised £2700 for each charity. Forty teams consisting of three players per team took part in the competition which was held at The Vale Resort in Hensol. Participants played golf in testing conditions due to a stiff breeze affecting play throughout the day.
The home team representing the Vale Resort Wayfarers were the overall winners of the competition with the Celtic Manor team close behind as runners up. This annual event is hosted by the winners of the previous year’s Premier League and this honour will pass to Pontypridd Wayfarers in 2017.
