Prostate Cymru’s Owen Pugsley and guest Amy Griffiths attended the 2019 Welsh Business Awards organised by South Wales Chamber of Commerce on Thursday 21st February. The glamorous black tie dinner event was held at the grand Cardiff City Hall and was hosted by broadcaster Gethin Jones.
The awards aim to recognise the very best from businesses, whether small, medium or large, across Wales. The awards celebrate success, excellence in best practice and the contribution Welsh businesses make to the wider community. Awards presented include Excellence in marketing & communications, Commitment to customer service, Success through innovation, Start up business of the year and Young entrepreneur of the year. The event’s lead sponsor was the University of South Wales. Cellpath won the big award of the night: Business of the year!
Prostate Cymru, the nominated charity of South Wales Chamber of Commerce for 2018-19, was chosen to be the beneficiary of a special collection on the night. The charity was also featured in the programme of the event, helping to raise awareness of prostate issues.
