Hybrid working, 2 days in the office, 3 days at home
Prostate Cymru is Wales’ leading prostate health charity. Our main objectives are to generate awareness and improve prostate health services for men in Wales. 1 in 8 men will be affected by prostate cancer.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, team player to join our friendly workforce, assisting us with the planning and delivery of a number of high profile events, specifically relating to our 20th Birthday celebrations.
What the job involves:
The event support assistant role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual to get real hands on experience and develop a career in the events and charity sector.
Experience
1-2 years event and or charity experience
Good communication skills – verbal and written
Strong IT skills
Excellent organisation and time management
Drivers License
Day to Day
Support the event mangers with the pre- planning and organisation of event projects. Focusing on upcoming events relating to our 20th Birthday celebrations.
Source and liaise with event suppliers
Update project plans and organisation/ upkeep of all key event documentation
Communicate event developments to the wider team
Engage in creative team brainstorming sessions
Assist with logging and communication with event attendees
On the day event management – set up, schedule management and supplier coordination
Attend regular event focused meetings
Help develop the event(s) look and feel
Attend external promotional and fundraising events
Administrative support to the wider team
